The "Festival of Sacrifice" commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah. Muslims perform the Qurbani (sacrifice), share meat with the poor, and celebrate with prayers and family gatherings.
Eat before Fajr time. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Take Suhoor, for in Suhoor there is blessing." (Bukhari)
Break your fast at Maghrib time. It is Sunnah to break with dates and water before praying Maghrib.
Ramadan is the month of the Quran. Try to complete at least one reading of the entire Quran.
Pray the nightly Taraweeh prayers. "Whoever prays during Ramadan with faith, his sins will be forgiven." (Bukhari)
Seek the Night of Power in the last 10 nights (odd nights). It is better than 1,000 months of worship.
Give Zakat al-Fitr before Eid prayer. It purifies the fast and provides for the needy on Eid day.
